Alex Postma, Assistant Professor of Anatomy, Embryology and Physiology at the University of Amsterdam. Postma received his education and training in the Netherlands, receiving a MSc. in molecular biology at the Free University of Amsterdam and obtained his PhD at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam in biomedical sciences. His research focuses on identifying underlying genetics defects leading to congenital heart malformations in individuals, families and populations.  He has experience in collaborative research as he participates actively in EU funded projects on genetic association of patients with congenital heart disease (HeartRepair and CHeartED).
