Professor of Cardiology, Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. Mulder completed her Internal Medicine Residency in Voorburg (1980) and completed her resident training in cardiology in Leiden (1985). She is the Vice Chairman, Scientific Advisory Board for the Netherlands Heart Foundation and Founder and Chairman of the working group on Adult Congenital Heart Disease. As project leader of the National Registry and DNA Bank on Adult Congenital Heart Disease (CONCOR) she has amassed a registry of over 10,000 patients. She is President-elect of the International Society of Adult Congenital Cardiac Disease, and Project Leader of WP1 of EU project “Heart Failure and Cardiac Repair; Genes for Heart Repair and Plasticity”. Her research program focuses on genetics, epidemiology and outcomes in adults with congenital heart disease. She has supervised 21 doctoral candidates since 2000, has over 180 peer-reviewed publications, and has been an editor of three books.
