Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Amsterdam. Zwinderman received his education and training in the Netherlands, receiving a MSc. in mathematics at the University of Groningen and his PhD at the University of Nijmegen in mathematical psychology. His research focus includes quantifying the association between multidimensional phenotypes and multidimensional genetic/genomic data.

He has extensive experience in collaborative research as he participated in a large number of multinational, multi-center clinical trials and genetic cohort studies. He is also participating actively in EU funded projects on genetic association of patients with congenital heart disease (HeartRepair). Zwinderman’s statistical expertise has contributed to over 400 publications.
